2017 Cherry Blossom Forecast (Mar. 22)

The cherry blossom season has officially started!

The first cherry blossoms of the season started to open in Tokyo yesterday(April 21st)! According to Japan Weather Association, it's been 9 years since the last time Tokyo's cherry blossoms opened earlier than other prefectures'.

Today, the updated cherry blossom forecast was published by Japan Weather Association. The latest information tells that by the end of March, the cherry blossoms in most areas from Kyushu to Kanto regions will open and reach full bloom within 7 to 10 days. By the end of April, the flowers will open in Hokkaido as well.
