Renting a pocket wi-fi has become common among foreign travelers in Japan. As we wrote in the post “Pocket Wi-fi is Now an Essential Item for Travelers“, having a pocket wi-fi will help you get around Japan easier and more efficiently.

There are many companies that provide pocket wi-fi rental at the airports. We highly recommend you make a booking in advance as the counters at the airports only have a limited amount of stock. Also, the prices can be cheaper when you book online in advance.
Some pocket rental wi-fi companies don’t have counters at the airports. Even so, they can offer you the same service by sending the ordered items to the post offices in the airports where you can go and collect, or by delivering them to your accommodation so that you can receive them when you check in.

In this post, we have a list of companies that have a counter at Kansai International Airport(KIX) as well as those that do not have a counter at KIX but are able to deliver their packages to the post office in the airport or to your hotel.
For your reference, we have calculated the estimate amount for the 14 days rental period. Please note that the estimate prices do not include insurance or other options. They are all subject to change, so please check each company’s website for the details.

The post office in KIX are open 9:00 – 17:00 everyday. If your flight is arriving at night, you can have your package delivered to your hotel, or to any Japan Post office near your accomodation.
