The world’s second Harry Potter Studio Tour after London

Harry Potter fans will have heard of the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London. It was originally the location for the Harry Potter films and has since been opened as a tourist attraction in London. But this is not an amusement park, there is no roller coaster, carousel or other attractions, but like a theme park to let you immerse yourself in the magical world of Harry Potter.

Previously, Warner Bros. is ready to take over part of the land of Toyoshima-en Park in Tokyo’s Nerima district to build the world’s second and Asia’s first Harry Potter Studio Tour here.

After the official closure of the park in 2020, the Japanese government intends to purchase most of the land for a large disaster prevention park to be used in times of disaster. Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo will be located in this park. Like the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, this one will not be equipped with any rides but will be a walking tour type attraction that will try to recreate the original scenes of the movies with light and sound effects, as well as exhibit the props and costumes used in the movies, which will definitely keep you hooked.

The atmosphere of magic is already present at the entrance. Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo will also bring various magical animals from the Harry Potter series and the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series. There are sculptures of these fantastic beasts at the entrance, and you can take pictures with or without a ticket.

After entering, the whole 3 hectares of the park is divided into two major areas: the indoor “Sound Stage” area and the “Backlot” area for outdoor photography, which will bring you back to the magical world of the Harry Potter series and the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” series, allowing you to spend a day full of magic. Here you can explore the famous scenes designed by the Harry Potter film production team, or you can dress up as a wizard and experience the original worldview and film scenes for yourself.

Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo will be completed and opened in the first half of 2023. Tickets are expected to be sold in limited quantities in order to control the number of people.
